This option allows you to specify an Associate Library NameCell Name or Instance Name for a guard ring.

This topic shows you how to use the Project Editor to configure those options.

  1. To launch the Animate Project Editor, on the command line enter:
    animate_project_editor
  2. Expand the Animate section.
  3. Expand the Project section.
  4. Right-click on Project to launch a menu.
    Select “Add Constraint Defaults”.
  5. Right-click on Constraint Defaults.
    Left-click on Add Guard Ring Association. 

  6. You can now set up the guard ring association options you require.
    Associate
       Library Name
       Cell Name
       or
       Instance Name
    Configuration
       Add Element
       Guard Ring Name
       Terminal Name
       Net Name (optional) 
  7. Right-click on Association.
    Left-click on Add Cell.
  8. Double-click under Value next to Library to add a Library Name.
    Double-click under Value next to Cell to add a Cell Name. 
  9. Double-click to launch a text entry field. 
  10. Right-click on Configuration, then left-click on Add Element. 
    Multiple elements can be added depending on the number of Rings you wish to add. 
  11. Next, add Ring and Connectivity information. 
  12. Right-click on Ring.
    Left-click on Add Technology Guard Ring Name.
  13. Now you can add a Ring name.
    Double-click under Value next to Name, to enter a name in the text field. 
  14. Next, add a Terminal Name.
    Click on Ring Connectivity, right-click and choose Add Terminal Name.

  15. To Add Terminal Name: 
    Double-click under Value next to Name, and enter a terminal name in the text field.
    Click outside the text entry field.
    This is now the minimum information needed to associate a guard ring to a cell.
  16. Click the Validate and Savbutton  to save your project settings. 
    The minimum required elements to configure are:
     - Library Name
     - Cell Name
     - MPP Name
     - Terminal Name or Net Name
